If any of you have a 15khz compatible VGA monitor knocking about, its dead easy to connect Albert to it. I have the schematic here;

Might be of use to someone? It's how I connect my Einstein up to a Dell 2314H LCD monitor. I also show it working in one of my Youtube videos.

Mike.

Nice work Mike, I'll give that a shot.

In fact it might help with the problems I'm having with my '256.

This first image shows the banding that I get when pulling video from the din socket. I suspect it's something to do with the fact there is no separated sync just a composite video signal. I think a sync separator would help if that is indeed the cause. I can't help wondering if there's something else though.

There is a csync signal available on the VAMP connector, so I wired that up instead. And I got this:

Weird huh? Why would it be b&w? This is (supposedly) an rgb signal! Could it be that the telly is in composite scart mode rather than rgb

*EDIT* Interestingly the tv reports scart/ntsc. Hmmmm. Curiouser.
