It does sound strange doesn't it! Have you checked the big hardware diagram thingy to see where the keyboard runs to?

Not yet. To be honest such things are a little above my pay-grade! I believe the sound chip controls the keyboard and as far as I can tell all the tracks have continuity.

?? I think we should make a new topic for this issue, rather than pollute the keyboard thread.

Well, having found a rather large and strong box for the tatty it is packed up and waiting for a courier to pick it up and take it to be prodded by MCG (apparently to join several of its brethren that have invaded the MCG workshop of late - maybe this forum has prompted a few people to dig theirs out and fix them?). Hopefully they can find out what is wrong with it and then pass it on to Sir Morris for some further einSDein shenanigans!

Boxed up it is nearly 9Kg. Quite the hefty!

Einstein A Go-Go...

Its due back today! Amongst other things it has had a new AY chip as this was proving to be unreliable.

Indeed!

The only issue I have found is that if I boot without a disc and then put one it it says “Press CTRL+Break to boot disc” (or similar) but pressing these does nothing. Cycling the power or reset works fine.
Do you have to hold them for a while?
