I saw an Einstein refurb video on YouTube a while back and the guy cleaned the keys and then dried them off in the oven, slightly deforming the space bar. I think he managed to replace it so it may be that a space bar from another computer fits. If I find the video I will post a link.
Edit - the video was from RetrogamerVX but it looks like he didn’t sort the spacebar.

Interesting thought i'll look into that. Doesn't seem to be the same size as any of the modern ones you can buy or any of the other old computers i have around here

Useful to know. Looks like an 8u spacebar will be slightly too large anyway as the Einstein spacebar is 150mm.
8 * 19.05mm = 152.40mm
7 * 19.05mm = 133.35mm
It's certainly a custom size!
I think the size also includes the gaps or at least the gap on one side of the key so it could be 8.
