The 256 is much smaller.

However, I quite like the size of the TC01. As the drives are built-in (so no drive plinth), I like the fact that it doesn't need a monitor stand.

If anyone is in contact with other Tattie users, please spread the word! I reckon there will be quite a few people flying under the radar!

@vanpeebles I have been compiling a list that has been in the works for about 12 months of all the Einsteins I have seen or heard about across the web (eBay, Facebook, Shpock, Insta etc). I have about 100 machines on it at the moment .. That's how many there are left in the world??

Seriously though, I recon they only every shipped 40,000 machines as I can find no evidence of any machine with a S/N of over 6034855.

Unless anyone can point me in the direction of machines with serial numbers > 40,000 then 40,000 is a reasonable assumption.

Up until January this year, I had been away from the Einstein for about 30 years and really regret giving mine away all those years ago.

I started doing some Einstein Videos on my YouTube Channel because there were not many available, and since doing them a whole load more have appeared! - I guess people are finally appreciating this great machine.

Looking forward to seeing what mods others have on their machines, as I have a few in/on mine :)

Mike.

Glad to be here!, Penrod has pointed me out about this new forum and I've just joined!

It has been a long time since the Yahoo Groups where popular and now when they come to an end, this forum arrives in the right time to fill this little niche :)

Cool, i'll come join this little corner. i acquired a TC-01 complete with colour monitor all in working condition except for a missing GRAPH key cap, key switch still works. Love this little ( Ahem ) machine, happy to find it was a Z80 at its heart since as i'm familiar with it. I'm gonna enjoy this machine.

Regards Andy
